Shop Detailing

Hutchins Bros provide precise, fabrication-ready drawings for our structural steel projects. These detailed plans, drawn in accordance with AS4100, include dimensions, material specifications, and connection details, ensuring every component is accurately prepared for manufacturing and assembly. By delivering clear, comprehensive drawings, we help streamline production, reduce errors, and maintain project timelines.
Processing

Our processing of plates and steel members involves the use of advanced machinery and automated systems (those detailed above), to transform raw steel into precise, ready-to-assemble parts. This streamlined approach reduces handling, improves accuracy, and ensures every piece meets project specifications and quality standards.
Fabrication

With a number of qualified tradesman on our team, Hutchins Bros are able to assemble and weld structural steel components to precise specifications. Using advanced equipment and skilled techniques, we create high-quality assemblies that meet project requirements and industry standards.
Protective Coatings

With our in-house blast booth and paint shed, Hutchins Bros provide protective coating applications to safeguard steel components against corrosion and environmental exposure. This includes surface preparation and applying durable finishes to ensure long-lasting performance and compliance with project specifications.
Project Management

Our project management service ensures every stage of the project runs smoothly—from planning and scheduling, to coordination and delivery. We oversee timelines, resources, and quality control, working closely with clients to keep projects on track and within budget. By managing communication and logistics, we tie all aspects of the project together, providing a seamless process from start to finish.
Transport

In partnership with Hayllars Transport, and other local transport companies, we ensure the safe and efficient delivery of fabricated steel components to site. Hutchins Bros have a 48ft and Extendable trailer, and a commmitted transport logistics team. We coordinate logistics to handle oversized loads and maintain schedules, ensuring materials arrive in perfect condition and on time.
Installation

Hutchins Bros offer professional installation of structural steel on-site, following strict safety and quality standards. Our team ensures accurate placement and secure connections, delivering a reliable structure ready for the next stage of construction.

CNC MACHINES

HUTCHINS BROS ARE COMMITTED TO CONTINUAL IMPROVEMENT AND ENHANCING OUR OPERATIONS. WE HAVE IMPROVED OUR OUTPUT AND PRODUCTIVITY THROUGH THE INTEGRATION OF AUTOMATED PLATE AND BEAMLINE PROCESSSING, AND ROBOTIC WELDING.

Kinetic 1200

Installed in 2019, our Kinetic 1200, is a high-performance, plasma plate-processing machine. It allows us to cut and process steel plates up to 50mm, efficiently and accurately, reducing handling time and improving workflow. The Kinetic allows us to quickly produce complex parts, while maintaining precision and consistency.
Python X Beamline

The Python X Beamline allows for the efficient and consistent processing of steel beams, angles, and channels. Commissioned in 2011 as the first stage of our automation program, The Beamline automates multiple operations in one setup - cutting to length, coping, notching, drilling, and part marking. It streamlines fabrication by reducing material handling and improving accuracy, helping us efficiently produce complex components.
AGT Robotics BeamMaster

HBE installed the BeamMaster in 2022, an advanced robotic welding system, automating the welding of structural steel assemblies. Using intelligent vision and adaptive technology, the BeamMaster identifies part geometry and applies accurate welds without the need for manual programming. It improves efficiency, reduces handling, and ensures high-quality welds across complex assemblies.
IMET KTECH 502 Bandsaw

Our most recent addition, implemented in 2024, the IMET KTECH 502 F200 is a fully automatic double-column bandsaw designed for precision cutting of structural steel. Offering programmable cutting cycles, high accuracy, and efficient handling of large profiles and bundles, the Bandsaw achieves clean cuts on RHS, SHS & CHS profiles, improving productivity and reducing manual effort.
