Job Title:	Truck Loader
Location:	Narrandera, NSW, Australia
Job Type:	Permanent or Casual (6 month trial period)
Description:	Hutchins Bros Pty Ltd a family owned, Riverina based Structural Steel Fabrication business has an opportunity for a motivated individual to join its team in the role of Structural Steel Truck Loader. Specialising in structural steel supply for commercial and industrial applications across ACT, NSW and VIC Hutchins Bros has been operating in the steel industry for over 30 years and has developed a reputation for reliability and excellence.

The successful candidate will be involved in the following areas of business:

Loading and Unloading trucks.
Development of load plans to suit customer deadlines whilst adhering to RMS rules and regulations
Co-coordinating other staff to assist with loading of trucks
Assisting in the co-ordination of material inventory
Maintenance of Equipment
General House-Keeping / Yard Maintenance
Assisting Fabrication staff
Implementing and Improving upon Hutchins Bros WHS, Quality & Environmental Policies in everyday operations

Necessary skills / Experience

Truck Loading Experience required
HR License and experience driving and backing trucks
Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills
Ability to effectively delegate tasks to subordinates
Good communication skills
Ability to develop and maintain sound relationships
Must be keen and self motivated.
Ability to commit to ongoing work
Ability to work in a busy environment as part of a team and on own
Must have 2 contactable work related references
Willing to work overtime.
Ability to climb up and down from machinery
Ability to frequently stand, bend, push, squat, and use pry bar in order to position material correctly on trailer

The remuneration for this position will be commensurate to the applicant’s skills and experience. The successful candidate can also expect ongoing training along with support that only a family operated business can provide.

The role will involve the following:

Reading and interpreting shop drawings
Cutting and preparing of steel components
Assembly of structural steel components
Occasional offsite boiler-making
Assisting in the co-ordination of material inventory
Assisting in the co-ordination of dispatch of finished products
Assisting with Loading and Unloading trucks
Maintenance of Equipment
General House-Keeping
Quality Control and record keeping
Implementing and Learning Hutchins Bros Quality Policy

Necessary skills / Experience

Excellent skills in MIG welding with qualifications
Minimum three years experience in metal manufacturing industry
Ability to read, interpret and work to engineering workshop drawings.
High level marking out skills.
Ability to fabricate and assemble structural steel products
Excellent attention to detail
Good communication skills
Ability to develop and maintain sound relationships
Must be keen and self motivated.
Ability to commit to ongoing work
Ability to work in a busy environment as part of a team and on own
Must have 2 contactable work related references
A sound understanding of safety rules and regulations in the steel industry
Willing to work overtime.
Rigging or spray painting experience would be a bonus
Honest and reliable

Working hours are generally 6am to 5pm Monday to Friday with Saturday work required during peak production times.

Job Type:	Part-time – Fridays (8.30am – 4.30pm)
Description:	Hutchins Bros Pty Ltd a family owned, Riverina based Structural Steel Fabrication business has an opportunity for a motivated individual to join its expanding team in the role of Quality Control Data Entry Clerk / Administrator.

The role will involve the following:

Updating and maintaining information on our computer systems and archives for:
- Fabrication Quality Control
- Protective Coating Quality Control
- Weld Inspection
- Traceability of procured materials
- Inspection and Test Plans
- Assisting Procurement & Estimating staff and Management with general administration tasks.
  - Answering phones
  - Preparing correspondence, reports and documents
  - Collating information
  - Maintaining databases
  - Communicating verbally and in writing to answer inquiries and provide information
  - Liaising with internal and external contacts
  - Operating office equipment
  - Setting up work procedures

Necessary skills / Experience

Computer literacy and experience with relevant software applications - spreadsheet, word processing, email etc.
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
Experience in producing correspondence and documents
Proficiency in spelling, punctuation, grammar and other English language skills
Good attention to detail
Honest and reliable
Strong communication skills
Ability to work unsupervised
